Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. Her family was raised within an multiethnic family. Her father, Elroy Fernandez, is Sri Lankan. Her brothers are younger and one older sister. Padukone's father is a professional badminton player Prakash Padukone. Padukone has been raised both in Copenhagen and Bangalore. As a teenager she played in national championships of badminton at both the regional and international level. She later quit the game to make a profession as fashion designer. Padukone's mother tongue is Konkani. She is Mangalorean in her origins. Her lineage hails from Padukone village in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District in the State of Karnataka, India. Prakash Padukone's father was an international badminton player who has retired. Her mother is a traveling agent.
